Apple Mach is a community cider project based in Machynlleth, Wales.

Apple Mach was inspired by pub discussions about getting some sort of shared community cider enterprise going in Machynlleth. After setting up this website and holding initial meetings, we’ve been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm for the idea, and by the flood of offers of equipment, help, and apples. Thank you and please keep them coming!

We are all volunteers who want to:

• Produce cider and apple juice on a community scale, pooling our resources;
• Share what we make amongst producers, friends, family and those who’ve kindly given or lent us equipment and stuff;
• Operate on a not-for-profit basis, and initially without sales of alcohol, though we may explore this in future;
• Make better use of currently wasted apples (wild, donated or thrown away);
• Celebrate apple variety, and enjoy the pleasure of crafting something together;
• Have a good drink.
